We are in the home stretch of the April A to Z Challenge, and I am finally beginning to grow a little weary from writing! I think next year I shall write the last week’s posts first – mostly because these are the toughest letters of the alphabet to find words for. But, I digress (and whine)….
Yesterday I spoke about the importance of getting started on individual goals. Today I’d like to emphasize the value of working together with others for the purpose of achieving maximum impact in our communities.
As they say, there is safety in numbers. There is also the benefit of better recognition, pooling of resources, and exchanging of ideas when we work in groups to achieve a goal. This is why individuals come together, or Unite, for a common goal. The trick is to find a group with which you can relate and join forces to push a particular agenda or cause. Sometimes these groups may be found at your particular place of worship. Other times you may find yourself drawn to a specific civic organization. Charitable organizations, advocacy groups, community service groups and even political committees all provide citizens an opportunity to get involved in their communities and work toward a common purpose.
Whatever your interest, find a group that supports your ideals and join them. You may be surprised by how much you can accomplish when you unite with others for a common cause.

What are some causes you have united with others for? Do you sometimes feel alone in your efforts?
