We are in the home stretch of the April A to Z Challenge, and I am finally beginning to grow a little weary from writing!  I think next year I shall write the last week’s posts first – mostly because these are the toughest letters of the alphabet to find words for.  But, I digress (and whine)….

Yesterday I spoke about the importance of getting started on individual goals.  Today I’d like to emphasize the value of working together with others for the purpose of achieving maximum impact in our communities.

As they say, there is safety in numbers.  There is also the benefit of better recognition, pooling of resources, and exchanging of ideas when we work in groups to achieve a goal.  This is why individuals come together, or Unite, for a common goal.  The trick is to find a group with which you can relate and join forces to push a particular agenda or cause.  Sometimes these groups may be found at your particular place of worship.  Other times you may find yourself drawn to a specific civic organization.  Charitable organizations, advocacy groups, community service groups and even political committees all provide citizens an opportunity to get involved in their communities and work toward a common purpose.

Whatever your interest, find a group that supports your ideals and join them.  You may be surprised by how much you can accomplish when you unite with others for a common cause.

There are only a couple days left in my giveaway - be sure and enter to win some cool stuff from Energizer!

What are some causes you have united with others for?  Do you sometimes feel alone in your efforts?

  1. What a great topic.

BTW, Z was one of the first posts I wrote. I had an idea and went with it, I knew I'd be happy I did right about now!

    We're almost there!

    1. You are so smart! I guess I was just in denial about the whole thing (or maybe thought there would be some sort of Divine Intervention?)
Anyway, while I'm glad we are nearing the end, I have to admit that I have had a wonderful time participating in this challenge!
      Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Hi Dawn, nice to meet you. I will admit I also am glad A to Z is coming to an end. I've met some great people along the way,but I'm feeling a bit fried at the moment. Great post, it is important to unite with like minded people. Of course in my case I usually Untie.

    1. I'm so glad you stopped by! I, too, have met a lot of great bloggers!
