Bon Mots

That wonderful purveyor of words, the late, great Steve Jobs.

Today’s letter is, of course, “B”.  I would like to take this opportunity to share some bon mots, or witty remarks about art, life, family, and community.  Hope you enjoy this food for thought!

“A man paints with his brains, not with his hands.”  Michelangelo

“A work of art is the unique result of a unique temperament.”  Oscar Wilde

“It is art that makes life, makes interest, makes importance and I know of no substitute whatever for the force and beauty of its process.”  Max Eastman

“Mournful and yet grand is the destiny of the artist.”  Franz Liszt

“A family is a place where principals are hammered and honed on the anvil of everyday living.”  Charles R. Swindoll

“Cherish your human connections – your relationships with friends and family.”  Barbara Bush

“Family is not an important thing.  It is everything.”  Michael J. Fox

“A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life.”  Charles Darwin

“Believe that life is worth living and your belief will help create the fact.”  William James

“Don’t go around saying the world owes you a living.  The world owes you nothing.  It was here first.”  Mark Twain

“Every man dies.  Not every man really lives.”  William Wallace

I think that should give you enough to ponder about for today.  Go forth and have a lovely Monday!
